Seems a bit out of date (latest work cited is from the late-90′s) but still useful jumping-off point for academic research on fandom and participatory media culture.

Covers much neat stuff like RPGs, scifi, fandom, etc. Also out of date (c. 2001) but again, good starting point, esp. for historical stuff.

Extremely detailed and extensive academic articles about Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Totally sweet social software that allows collaborative bibliography creation. I’m moving all my bibliographies to there post-haste.

Great Atlantic article from a few years back about introverts, what introversion is, etc. I’m a hyper-extrovert so this was a really useful way for me to sort of get inside a different mindset for a bit.






This is evil of me, but here goes: Do you know anyone who argues that social bookmarking can be a great way for people to find one’s own content and network? I could use an article or two on how to pull this off.
Hmmm.. not sure what you mean? Sort of like a more effective way of Googling yourself?
Something more like this: I have these two posts where I comment on operas I saw. So I’ve used ma.gnolia (it’s a prettier del.icio.us) to bookmark my own posts.
I’m wondering under what conditions people might stumble upon these bookmarked posts.
